April 1927: Sweden

It was almost certainly the German edition that was shipped to Sweden, but that was in early April 1927, and it opened on the fourth of that month. The length was 8,399', just a few minutes longer than the edition that had opened in NYC a month earlier. Did Ufa Berlin chop away at the negative this early? Or was it Ufa Stockholm that decided to chop the local prints to conform with what Paramount had done? Did Paramount have any say in this, or was this entirely a local decision?
