Imago

(1964)

Tinto Brass’s next project, Imago. He had completed the script, but it was never made. For the longest time I couldn’t find “imago” in the dictionary. I quizzed some friends in Italy, but they were unfamiliar with the word. Finally I found a gigantic Italian dictionary at “The World’s Biggest Bookstore” in Toronto, and it that “imago” is a poetic form of the word “immagine,” which means “image.”
